    Repeals the following Acts:

    - the Children and Young Persons Act
    - the Children Home (Regulation) Act

    Also makes numerous consequential amendments to the Law of Marriage Act, Cap. 29; the Employment and Labour Relations Act; the Penal Code; and the Criminal Procedure Act.

    Permits the employment of children over the age of 10 for specified light work and provides for conditions of employment.

    Inter alia, allows courts to remove a child from surroundings which are undesirable with regard to the child's welfare.
