    A committee shall be established at the General Authority for Civil Aviation called " Committee for the Coordination Mechanisms of Search and Rescue in Civil Aviation", shall be chaired by the General Civil Aviation Authority President, and his vice-president represented by the ministry of defiance and 4 members.

    The provisions which apply to expatriate workers shall apply to the recruitment of domestic workers, their medical examination and residence permits. A domestic worker may not be employed other than by virtue of a labour contract, which is written and certified by the department, in three copies. The labour contract shall include provisions relating to the employment relationship between both parties.

    At date of entry, this Law was awaiting publication in the Official Gazette in order to enter into force.

    The Law applies to all civil servants of Qatari ministries and other government agencies, as well as public authorities and institutions, and it highlights the State’s commitment to the development of its employees and the assurance of a safe and fair working environment.

    This Law does not apply to judges or their assistants, public prosecutors or their assistants, Emiri Diwan employees, diplomatic or consulate corps’ employees, university teaching staff, Qatar Petroleum employees, Qatar Investment Authority employees, or State Audit Bureau employees.

    The Law provides detailed information about everything from budgets to job creation, job descriptions, grading criteria, recruitment processes, as well as appointment and approval procedures.

    This Law Repeals Law No. 8 of 2009 on Human Resources Management.

    Provides for entitlement to 30 days' maternity leave with full pay, without prejudice to other leave entitlements. However, where delivery occurs within less than 30 days of regular holidays (eg.the summer vacation for teachers) the entitlement is reduced accordingly.

    A Civil Service Department is set up under the Office of the Prime Minister. Its purpose is to improve the organization and efficiency of the civil service, notably by revising service rules; providing technical assistance for simplifying procedures; evaluating and classifying posts; providing for manpower planning and the best possible use of human resources; drawing up training programmes and supervising their implementation; and drafting legislation on the civil service.
