    Establishes the Mental Health Board and Mental Health Commission, and provides for the conditions of admission of mental health patients, the conditions of treatment and living in mental health centres, and the rights of mental health patients. Repeals the Lunacy Act.

    Amends Regulation 16 of the National Pensions (Industrial Injuries) Regulations 1979 to prohibit the payment of benefits to non-residents and for any period during which a beneficiary is outside Mauritius other than for medical treatment in connection with the industrial injury.
