Available in English. Provides that the assets of the Fund shall be allocated for payments to the employees of undertakings under bankruptcy, who have terminated employment relationships with such undertakings, as well as to the employees who continue employment relationships with an undertaking under bankruptcy when the undertaking is indebted to them.

Amends provisions concerning families receiving social benefits, unemployed persons, calculation of a family's average income, duration of benefits payment.

Act No. I-1191 of 1 February 1996 to amend and supplement the Act on employment of the population (Text No. 264).

Provides for a modification of the Act's title, replacing "employment of the population" by "support of the unemployed". Amends provisions relating to the unemployed, the State guarantees for employment, the employment fund, the right to unemployment benefits, the level of unemployment benefits, cases when unemployment benefits are not granted, the reduction, suspension and end of payment of unemployment benefits. Deals also with vocational training of the unemployed and of workers told in advance they will be dismissed.
