    Juveniles (Amendment) Act, 1997 (No. 29 of 1997).

    Inserts a new section to the Juveniles Act prohibitng the production, distribution, or use of pornography featuring juveniles or persons who look like juveniles. Sets forth punishments of up to 14 years imprisonment.

    Act to provide for the control of conditions of employment. Chapter 92.

    Provides for better conditions of employment. For that purpose, establishes a Labour Advisory Board composed of government officers and representatives of both employers and employees. The duty of this Board is to advise the minister with respect to those matters connected with employment. In addition, provides for a special protection of women, young persons and children and also establishes special regulations concerning maternity protection.

    Makes provision for the custody and protection of juveniles in need of care, protection or control and for the correction of juvenile delinquents and young offenders. Includes provisions prohibiting children being allowed to beg.
