    Act to Improve Employment Opportunities For Older Workers. (Gesetz zur Verbesserung der Beschäftigungschancen älterer Menschen) - Law on-line in German

    The Law imposes a number of solutions in order to improve the employment opportunities of older workers including:
    - Integration subsidies for employers for hiring older workers (aged 50 years and over);
    - "Combination wage" for older unemployed workers, for taking a new lower paid job;
    - Increased promotion of vocational training;
    - New option of a fixed-term employment lasting up to five years for workers aged 52 and over.

    Promotion of early retirement benefits Act (VRG). (Gesetz zur Förderung von Vorruhestandsleistungen)

    Loi tendant à faciliter le passage de la vie active à la retraite. L'Etablissement fédéral du travail (Bundesanstalt für Arbeit) octroie aux employeurs, sous certaines conditions, des suppléments au titre des frais encourus pour les prestations de préretraite s'ils s'engagent à verser aux salariés qui, ayant 58 ans révolus, cessent leur activité lucrative. Ces prestations doivent être payées jusqu'à la date à laquelle les salariés atteignent l'âge de 65 ans. Prestations garanties par l'Etablissement fédéral du travail en cas d'insolvabilité de l'employeur. Modifie notamment : 1. le livre Ier du Code social (SL 1980 - All. (RF) 2) : insère un para. 19a (Prestations de préretraite); 2. la loi tendant à promouvoir l'emploi (SL 1969 - All. (RF) 1 ... 1974 - All. (RF) 1) : insère un para. 118b; 3. le Code fédéral des assurances (SL 1980 - All. (RF) 1); 4. la loi sur l'assurance des employés (SL 1924 - All. 6 ... 1972 - All. (RF) 2); 5. la loi sur les caisses minières (SL 1926 - All. 5 ... 1938 - All. 1B); 6. la loi [de 1972) sur l'assurance-maladie des agriculteurs.
