    Provides that holidays can be in derogation of collective agreements when they are agreed to for the performance of specific functions. In a schedule, cases are set out where holidays will or will not be paid for. (Text No. 18)

    Ordonnance of the Czechoslovak Federal Republic amending and consolidating the Ordonnance of the Government of the Czechoslovakian Socialist Republic No. 223/1988 applying the Labour Code. No. 13.

    Amends and consolidates Ordonnance No. 223/1988 [S.L. 1975-Tch. 2], by providing for an annex entitled "Impediments of particular importance for which work absences are permitted".

    Regulation on flexible working time (No. 196/1989).

    Makes provision for flexible working time. Section 2 regulates determination of beginning and end of working day. Section 3 sets forth different forms of flexible working time: flexible working day, flexible working week, and flexible four-weeks period. Section 5 deals with overtime, Section 6 with wages, and Section 7 with work breaks.

    Notification of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs respecting the Convention on Safety and Health of Workers and on the Working Conditions.

    The Notification reprints the Czechoslovakia translation of the Convention No. 155 adopted on June the 3rd, 1981 by the I.L.O.. The Convention was ratified by the Czechoslovakia Socialistic Republic on 1988-12-02 and the instrument of ratification was deposided with the I.L.O. Director General.

    Ordinance of the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic respecting the increase of special bonuses of miners.

    The ordinance raises the monthly bonuses to 1500,-Kcs for miners working in less risky mines and to 1800,-Kcs in other cases.

    Notification of the Czechoslovakia Bureau of Mines respecting health and the prevention of accidents for persons employed in mining and in activities carried out in open-cast mines. No. 26.

    The Notification, which contains eight parts, provides for health and accident prevention in open-cast mines. The first part of the document lays down the general provisions for infrastructure, qualification of personnel and emergency procedures. Requirements for working conditions are set out in the second part, and the procedure for ore extraction is set out in the third part.

    Ordinance of the Government of the Slovak Socialist Republic respecting the exceptional reduction of the uninterrupted weekly rest period in certain cases.

    Reduction of the normal rest period of 32 hours to 24 hours in certain cases where operating requirements make the reduction unavoidable. Repeals Ordinance No. 139 of 1976 on the same subject.

    Act to increase the basic amount of vacation leave and to supplement section 5 of the Labour Code [LS 1975 - Cz. 2 (consolidation)].

    S. 101 (1) of the Code is amended to read: "The basic amount of leave shall be three calendar weeks in each calendar year". A similar amendment is made to s. 54 (1) of the Act respecting agricultural co-operatives (Text 122 of 1975).
