    Amends sections 177 and 178 of the Labour Act to increase the maternity leave entitlement of a female worker from twelve weeks to fourteen weeks on full pay.

    Establishes that for the purpose of section 178 of Labour Act, a woman may be deemed to be absent from work as a result of illness arising out of her pregnancy for a maximum period of 30 days.
