    Made under the International Insurance Act 1999 (No. 10). Makes provision for procedure on application for registration, valuation of an applicant's assets, form of certificate, duty to display certificate, prohibition of bearer shares, approval of issue or disposal of shares, prior approval of appointment of directors and senior officers, filing of annual accounts, books and records to be maintained at registered office, and improper records to be examined by an auditor.

    Amends the Commercial Free Zone Act (No. 27 of 1994). Provides for a social fee to be levied on the value of goods imported into a commercial free zone, specifies the uses of the social fee, rationalises the commercial free zone regulatory regime with regard to dealings with foreign currency sales and transfers, extends the income tax holiday period of commercial free zone businesses, and enlarges the Board of Directors of commercial free zones.

    Regulates Export Processing Zones. Sets forth, inter alia, that the provisions of the Labour Code apply to Export Processing Zone developers and businesses, and that foreign nationals working on a regular basis for an EPZ business must obtain a work permit.
