Women prisoners shall not be employed outside a prison except on the recommendation of a medical officer.

Prisoner shall not be required to perform labour if judicial officer passing sentence has specified that sentence of imprisonment shall be without labour. Female prisoners shall not be employed outside a prison except on the recommendation of a medical officer, and then only on such labour as may be prescribed.
