Ley para las personas con discapacidad. -

Tiene por objeto desarrollar los medios y mecanismos que garanticen el desarrollo integral de las personas con discapacidad de manera plena y autónoma, de acuerdo con sus capacidades, y lograr la integración a la vida familiar y comunitaria, mediante su participación directa como ciudadanos y ciudadanos plenos de derechos y la participación solidaria de la sociedad y la familia.
El Capítulo III (artículos 26-30) del Título II se refiere al trabajo y la capacitación, en especial a políticas laborales, formación para el trabajo, empleo para personas con discapacidad, empleo con apoyo integral e inserción y reinserción laboral.
El Título III contempla en Sistema Nacional de Atención integral a las personas con discapacidad.

Venezuela (Bolivarian Republic of) - Disabled workers - Law, Act

Ley para la integración de personas incapacitadas

Se establece el Consejo Nacional para la integración de las personas incapacitadas. El Título III de la ley trata de la integración social de las personas incapacitadas: gozan del pleno ejercicio de sus derechos, tienen acceso a la educación, a la salud (equipos y prótesis que faciliten su integración), derecho a la asistencia y libre acceso a los servicios e instalaciones de uso público. Los artículos 23 a 25 tratan del derecho al trabajo y el artículo 25 dispone que las empresas públicas o privadas que empleen más de 50 trabajadores tienen la obligación de emplear un mínimo de dos por ciento de incapacitados, siempre que los trabajadores incapacitados reúnan las condiciones de aptitud y capacitación laboral necesarias para el ejercicio de los cargos ofertados.

Sets forth conditions for vocational training programmes and enterprises to be considered as reserved for disabled workers so that they may receive certain incentives. To qualify, vocational training programmes must have at least 70 per cent permanent enrollment of disabled persons, and enterprises must hire a specified proportion of disabled workers and include a disabled person in management. Stipulates that cities and provinces establish job funds to finance job training programmes and enterprises for the disabled. Also sets forth entitlements of disabled workers, types of enterprises which must accept a proportion of disabled workers, and stipulates that enterprises which have not hired prescribed proportions of disabled workers pay an indemnity to the Fund for Job Creation.

Decree No. 81-CP to regulate the implementation of a number of sections of the Labour Code relating to disabled workers. -

Provides regulations governing vocational training institutions in which at least 70 per cent of the trainees are disabled, and enterprises in which at least 51 per cent of the workforce is disabled. Disability for the purposes of this text is established at more than 21 per cent.

An Act to continue the existence of the Zambia Agency for Persons with Disabilities and define its functions and powers; promote the participation of persons with disabilities with equal opportunities in the civil, political, economic, social and cultural spheres; provide for mainstreaming of disability issues as an integral part of national policies and strategies of sustainable development; incorporate a gender perspective in the promotion of the full enjoyment of human rights and fundamental freedoms by persons with disabilities; ensure accessibility by persons with disabilities to the physical, social, economic and cultural environment, and to health, education, information, communication and technology; provide for the regulation and registration of institutions that provide services to persons with disabilities and organizations of, and for, persons with disabilities; continue the existence of the National Trust Fund for Persons with Disabilities; provide for the domestication of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its Optional Protocol and other international instruments on persons with disabilities to which Zambia is party, in order to promote, protect and ensure the full and equal enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms by persons with disabilities and to promote respect for their inherent dignity; repeal and replace the Persons with Disabilities Act, 1996; and provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the foregoing.

Zimbabwe - Disabled workers - Law, Act

Disabled Persons Act [Chapter 17:01]. -

This Act provides for the welfare and rehabilitation of disabled persons, the appointment and functions of a Director for Disabled Persons' Affairs, and the establishment and functions of a National Disability Board. Discrimination against disabled persons in employment, and denial to disabled persons of access to public premises, services and amenities are prohibited.
