Decision No. 19/2004/QD-TTg ratifying the 2004-2010 program on prevention of, and solution to, the situation of street children, sexually abused children and children subjected to heavy labour or working under noxious and hazardous conditions. - Adoption: 2004-02-12 | VNM-2004-M-94646 Ratifies the 2004-2010 Program on prevention of, and solution to, the situation of street children, sexually abused children and children subjected to heavy labor or working under noxious and hazardous conditions. The Overall objectives of the Program are to raise the awareness and promote actions of the entire society for the work of child protection; to prevent, gradually reduce and proceed to substantially reduce by the year 2010 the number of street children, sexually abused children and children subjected to heavy labor or working under noxious and hazardous conditions, and create conditions for those children to be protected, cared for, educated and to develop and enjoy an ever better life.
2. Specific objectives:
- To prevent the delinquency situation of children and support street children, with a view to reducing by 90% the number of those children by the year 2010, of whom 70% shall be rendered support to integrate themselves with their families.
- To prevent, gradually reduce and proceed to substantially reduce by the year 2010 the number of sexually abused children.
- To prevent and solve the situation that children have to do heavy jobs or work under noxious and hazardous conditions in order to reduce by 90% of the number of those children by the year 2010.
- To raise the managerial capability of officials engaged in child protection work, specially those of the ministries, branches and People¿s Committees of all levels in charge of protecting and caring for children in special circumstances.

Adoption: 2001-02-26 | VNM-2001-M-58979 Ratifies the "Vietnam National Programme of Action for Children" in the 2001-2010 period. Overall objectives of this programme are: to create optimum conditions to fully meet the needs and basic rights of children, prevent the dangers of harming children, and to build a safe and healthy environment for Vietnamese children to have the opportunity to be protected, cared for, educated and develop in all fields.

Adoption: 2000-10-30 | VNM-2000-M-57935 Makes provision for community-based education measures for convicted juvenile offenders. Convicted juvenile offenders shall actively redress their wrongdoings, study, honestly work for their living, and participate in the collective activities in the communities where they reside.

Adoption: 1999-05-31 | VNM-1999-M-53873 Sets forth a Programme of Action for the protection of children in special circumstances which has as its objective the elimination of child labour in arduous or dangerous conditions, the reduction of sexual abuse of children and crimes committed against children, and the reduction of drug use among children.

Ministerial Order No. 11 of 2013 Regulating the prohibited hazardous work and the authorized works for children under 18 years old. (قرار وزاري رقم 11 لسنة 2013 لائحة تحديد الاعمال المحظورة والاعمال المسموح بها للاطفال دون سن 18 سنة) Adoption: 2013-03-16 | Date of entry into force: 2013-03-16 | YEM-2013-R-106494 In Section 7 of this Ministerial Order No. 11 of 2013, provides a list of more than 35 industries and occupations, including domestic work, work related to agriculture, fishing, textiles, mechanical work and construction, which are prohibited for children under 18 years.
Moreover, section 8 prohibits carrying; pulling or pushing heavy weights.
While section 15 prohibits night work and overtime work for children under 18 years.

Employment of Young Persons and Children (Amendment) Act, 2004 (No. 10 of 2004). - Adoption: 2004-09-08 | ZMB-2004-L-82353 Amends the principal Act (Cap. 274) by amending the long title by inserting after "and children" the words "to implement the International Labour Organisation Convention on Minimum Age and the International Labour Organisation Convention on the Worst Forms of Child Labour". Consequential amendments include increasing the definition of child from fourteen to fifteen years and inserting two new definitions, one on "covered worksites" and the other on the "worst forms of child labour" into section 2. Also amends section 4, in particular by inserting a new section 4A on the prohibition of the employment of children and 4B on the prohibition of employment of children in the worst forms of child labour. Amendments to section 7 and 17 concern exceptions with respect to light work for family purposes and artistic performances. A new section 17A is also inserted concerning prohibition of employment for the worst forms of child labour.

Establishes that no employer shall employ or require to work underground in a mine any person under the age of 21, unless after thorough medical examination carried out by or under supervision of approved physician, such person is certified by physician to be in every way physically fit for such work. Also provides for some related matters.

Children's Protection and Adoption Amendment Act, 2001 (No. 23). Adoption: 2001 | ZWE-2001-L-62444 Makes miscellaneous amendments to Children's Protection and Adoption Act. Inter alia provides for definition of "hazardous labour" in relation to child or young person. Such work means work (a) which is likely to jeopardise or interfere with education of child or young person; (b) involving contact with hazardous substance; (c) involving underground mining; (d) that exposes child or young person to electronically-powered hand-tools, cutting or grinding blades; (e) that exposes child or young person to extreme heat, cold, noise or whole body vibration; (f) that is night shift work. Provides for establishment of Child Welfare Council and Child Welfare Fund. Also regulates foreign adoptions.

Labour Relations (Employment of Children and Young Persons) Regulations, 1997 (S.I. No. 72 of 1997). Adoption: 1997-03-14 | ZWE-1997-R-46825 Prohibits the employment of children (defined as under 16 years of age) and young persons (under 18) in underground mining, night work, work involving hazardous substances or specified machinery, or work which interferes with a child's education. Permits employment of children 12 years of age or more in light work, provided that the work is limited to 6 hours a day, appropriate records are maintained, and a contract is concluded between the employer and the child's legal guardian specifying wages and hours of work.

S 4 stipulates mitigating conditions for mothers' acts, including, inter alia, the effects that a birth might have on a woman's social and financial situation, and difficulties that caring for a child might create for the mother's social or financial situation.
