| Résumé/Citation: | Schedule 1 repeals the Australian Workplace Safety Standards Act 2005. Makes some minor technical amendments to other legislation, and preserves the legal force of all national standards or codes of practice that were in force under the AWSS Act immediately before the commencement of the Transitional Act. Amendments are to be made to the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1991 (Subsection 70(9) definition of advisory standard or code) and the Occupational Health and Safety (Maritime Industry) Act 1993 (Subsection 109(9) definition of advisory standard or code) as well as the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1998 (paragraphs 89E(1)(f), 89E(3) and 89H(2)). |
