Abstract/Citation
Sets out the minimum wages to be paid to a shop worker in the Schedule to the Order. Provides that a shop worker shall work eight hours per day inclusive of one hour for lunch. A watchman is to be employed for twelve hours per day for a period of six days. The overtime wages, vacation, sick leave, and maternity leave of a shop assistant is set out in the schedule. An employer is to observe health and safety requirements by providing at least two yearly checks by a duly qualified medical practitioner at the expense of the employer to all food handlers. Repeals the Wages Regulation (Shop Assistants Workers) Order 2003 (No. 18 of 2003).
