| Résumé/Citation: | Section 1 enables an Order in Council to be made to implement revisions of the international arrangements relating to compensation for oil pollution from ships. Section 2 allows for the implementation of Annex VI of the MARPOL Convention (Regulations for the Prevention of Air Pollution from Ships) by amending section 128(1) of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995 (c.21) (MSA 1995). Section 3 amends and clarifies section 178(1) of the MSA 1995 relating to the limitation period for claiming compensation from the International Fund for Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage. |
