Résumé/Citation: |
Provides for the elimination of discrimination against employees under part-time contracts and for the improvement of their working conditions. Promotes part-time employment as a contribution to a more flexible organization of working time according to the employees' and employers' needs. Establishes the principle of proportional treatment concerning social security rights, maternity and occupational safety and health. Does not apply to part-time employees working on an occasional basis and to full-time employees who work part-time due to temporary decreases of working hours because of technical, economic or structural reasons. |
