Résumé/Citation: Act dealing with alternation leave, which employees may take with the consent of the employer and where the employer replaces the employee with usually a young unemployed person. Contains 26 sections covering, inter alia, objectives (increase workers motivation and occupational health as well as to create better employment perspectives for the unemployed), scope of application, definitions (upon alternation leave the temporary employment opportunity is filled by unemployed), conditions (such as employment period of persons taking leave), period of alternation leave, written alternation leave contract, conditions governing the substitute person, interruption of alternation leave period, right for the employed person with alternation leave to go back to employment, alternation leave allowance, application for alternation leave allowance, reporting duty for employers, reimbursement, revision procedure, application of related Acts, control and miscellaneous. Act No. 1663 of 1995 remains applicable to agreements concluded before the entry into force of this Act.
