Second Region

Penal Code of Bahrain. Part I regulates application of code. Part II provides for criminal responsibility; Part III for punishment. Section 51 specifies modalities of capital punishment. Part IV deals with amnesty. Total amnesty shall be decided by law; special amnesty by Amiri Decree. Part V contains provisions relating to offences committed through publication. Part VI deals with violations. Also contains special section, which is divided nine Parts. Part I deals with offences affecting external state security, offences affecting internal state security, and with demonstrations and riots. Part II provides for crimes and duties of a public office, Part III for crimes against public authorities, Part IV for offences prejudicing pursuit of justice, Part V for crimes undermining confidence in the public, Part VI for offences of danger to the public, Part VII for offences affecting religion and the family, Part VIII for crimes committed against persons, and Part IX for offences against property.
