| Résumé/Citation: | Amends the Child Care Act (No. 74 of 1983) to broaden the categories of persons who may care for certain children apart from their parents for a period longer than 14 days. Amends the Social Assistance Act to provide for grants for aged persons, disabled persons, and war veterans; also provides for child-support grants, foster child grants, and care-dependency grants. Also substitutes provisions concerning the powers and duties of the Director-General with respect to investigations, application for grants, and penalties for misspending or false representation. |
