Abstract/Citation
Amends provisions of the Protection of Employment Act, 1977 in order to implement Council Directive 92/56/EEC regarding collective redundancies. Provides definition of the terms "contract of employment," "employees' representatives," and "collective redundancy." Also provides regulation where collective redundancies are the result of bankruptcy or decisions by an undertaking which controls the employer.
