The Compact of Free Association between the United States and Palau, which was signed on 10 Jan. 1986 and received a favourable vote of a majority of the people of Palau voting in a United Nations observed plebiscite conducted on 21 Feb. 1986, is reproduced as Title II. (Palau was part of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, with the United States as administering authority.)
