Part V deals with Masters and Seamen and includes provisions on engagement and discharge of crews (sections 38-42); wages (sections 43-54); safety, health and welfare (sections 55-58); manning, qualifications, training and uniform (sections 59-71); disciplinary offences (section 72); disqualification of seamen and inquiries (sections 73-80); civil liability of seamen for offences (sections 81-83; relief and repatriation and relief costs (section 84-86); documentation (sections 87-91). Part VI deals with safety including safety and health on ships.
