These amendments are made in consideration of the adoption of the Safety, Occupational Hygiene and Workplace Environment Act B.E. 2554.

Repeals sections 100-107 of Chapter 8: Safety, Occupational Hygiene and Workplace Environment of the Labour Protection Act B.E. 2541.

Replaces section 144 concerning penalties (penal and fines) for employers in case of violation of or failing to comply with sections 10, 22, 24, 25, 26, 37, 38, 39, 39/1, 40, 42, 43, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 61, 62, 63, 64, 67, 70, 71, 72, 76, 90(1), 95, 118(1), 120, 121, 122.

Replaces section 146 concerning penalties (fines) for employers who fail to comply with sections 15, 27, 28, 29, 30(1), 45, 53, 54, 56, 57, 58, 59, 65, 66, 73, 74, 75(1), 77, 99, 108, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 117 or failing to give notice under sections 120, 121(1) or section 139(2) or (3).

Replaces section 148 with "Any employer violating Section 31 or Section 44 shall be subject to imprisonment of no longer than one year or fine of no greater than two hundred thousand baht or both."

Section 151(2) of the Labour Protection Act as amended by the Labour Protection Act (No. 2) B.E. 2551 is to be repealed and replaced with: "Any person failing to comply with the order of the Labour Welfare Committee as issued under Section 120 or the order of labour inspection officers as issued under Section 124 shall be subject to imprisonment of no longer than one year or fine of no greater than twenty thousand bhat or both."

Section 154 and 155 are repealed.
