| Abstract/Citation: | Extensively amends the laws relating to sexual offences including by re-enforcing penalties and providing extra protection for children and persons with disabilities. Also contains provision with respect to the trafficking of persons for sexual purposes. Amends the following laws: - Magistrates' Courts Act, 1944 - Sexual Offences Act, 1957 - Correctional Services Act, 1959 - Prescription Act, 1969 - Criminal Procedure Act, 1977 - Child Care Act, 1983 - Prevention of Family Violence Act, 1993 - Choice on Termination of Pregnancy Act, 1996 - Criminal Law Amendment Act, 1997 - Witness Protection Act, 1998 - Prevention of Organized Crime Act, 1998 - Military Discipline Supplementary Measures Act, 1998 - Private Security Industry Regulation Act, 2001 - Immigration Act, 2002 - Explosives Act, 2003 |
