Abstract/Citation: Provides that the objectives of the use of nuclear energy is to be in the overall interest of society, and in particular to ensure that the use of nuclear energy us used in a manner that is safe for both humans and the environment and does not promote proliferation of nuclear weapons. Also provides for the general principles of nuclear waste management, implementation of nuclear energy, and authorization for the use and control of the competent authorities.
