| Abstract/Citation: | Provides for universal draft for Kyrgyzstan citizens independently from their racial, language, religious, social or educational status. Defines the categories of citizens, gender and age groups eligible for different types of military service. Chapter 7 provides for alternative military service for certain categories of citizens, depending on their religious believes, marital status, health condition or criminal record. Repeals, inter alia, the previous law on Universal Draft of 1993 and the Law on Alternative Service of 1997. |
