Second Region

This Act contains 11 parts, entitled as follows: General provisions (purpose of the Act, tasks of co-operative organisations, co-operative property, co-operative activities and socialist legislation, collaboration with national committees); Co-operatives (establishment, profitability and self-financing, self-management); Establishment and dissolution of co-operatives; Co-operative members and staff (rights and duties of members, labour relations); Formation of co-operative bodies (assembly, management body, president, supervisory committee, bodies of small co-operatives); Economic and social operation of co-operatives (relations with the State, planning, contracts, quality of production and services, purchasing and sales, financial resources, prices, foreign trade, protection of the environment, remuneration); Other co-operatives (other than those listed in the title); Associations of co-operatives (establishment and activities, assemblies); Central Council of Co-operatives (by-laws, establishment and liquidation, management bodies, internal organisation). Part XI contains final provisions and sets the date of entry into force of the Act (1 June 1988).
