Second Region

Regulates granting of widows' and children's pensions. On death of contributor, Governor-General shall grant in respect of contributor's service: (a) where he leaves widow, pension to that widow; (b) where he had a wife, pension for the benefit of children of marriage. Pensions under this Act depend on deceased's eligibility for pension. Also provides for minimum benefit, cases in which widow's pension shall not be granted, bankruptcy of widow, payment of pension in case of desertion, beneficiaries and mode of payment of children's pensions, as well as some related matters.
