Second Region

Provides for establishment, functions and powers of Children's Commissioner. Functions of Commissioner include to investigate any decision or recommendation made, or any act done or ommitted, in respect of any child's personal capacity; to promote establishment of accessible and effective complaints mechanisms for children and to monitor nature and level of complaints; to raise awareness and understanding of children's interests, rights and welfare; and to raise awarenss of UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
