Second Region

Gives effect to agreement on social security between Australia and Kingdom of Belgium. With regard to Belgium, agreement applies to laws concerning: old-age and survivors' pensions for salaried and self-employed persons; invalidity insurance for salaried persons, sailors of merchant marine, mine workers and self-employed persons; social security for salaried persons; and social security for self-employed persons. With respect to Australia, applies to: acts referred to as 'social security law' in Social Security Act 1991, as well as any regulations under such acts as far as acts provide for age pensions or disability support pension for person who is severely disabled. As regards part II, applies only to law concerning superannuation guarantee.
