Abstract/Citation
Comprehensive legislation aimed at safeguarding against unlawful interference with maritime transport. Divided into 13 parts. Part 1(s. 1-19) contains preliminary provisions. Part 2 (s. 20-40) makes provision for maritime security levels and security directions. Part 3 (s. 41-59) deals with maritime security plans; Part 4 (s. 60-89) with ship security plans and ISSCs. Part 5 (s. 90-100) provides for regulated foreign ships. Part 6 (s. 101-113) regulates maritime security zones. Part 7 (s. 114-133) sets forth other security measures. Part 8 (s. 134-168) provides for powers of officials. Part 9 (s. 169-182) regulates reporting of maritime transport security incidents. Part 10 (s. 183-185) provides for information-sharing. Part 11 (s. 186-200) regulates enforcement. Part 12 (s. 201) deals with review of decisions, and Part 13 (s. 202-209) contains miscellaneous provisions.
