Comprehensive legislation dealing with family issues. Divided into 14 parts. Part 1 (sections 1-5) contains preliminary provisions. Part 2 (sections 6-8) deals with marriage education and counselling organisations. Part 3 (sections 9-14) provides for counselling and reconciliation. Part 4 (sections 15-23) makes provision for family division of the High Court and Magistrates' Court. Part 5 (sections 24-40) deals with matrimonial causes. Part 6 (sections 41-153) makes provision for children. Part 7 (sections 154-176) provides for property, spousal maintenance and maintenance agreements. Part 8 (sections 177-180) regulates interventions. Part 9 (sections 181-184) provides for appeals. Part 10 (sections 185-191) regulates procedure and evidence. Part 11 (sections 192-193) makes provisions for recognition of orders; Part 12 (sections 194-200) for enforcement of orders. Part 13 (sections 201-203) provides for declarations and injunctions, and Part 14 (sections 204-214) contains miscellaneous provisions.
