Abstract/Citation
Makes provision for improved protection of outworkers in the clothing industry. Also establishes Ethical Clothing Trades Council of Victoria. Divided into 5 parts. Part 1 contains preliminary provisions. Outworker is defined as "person engaged for someone else's business in or about a private residence or other premises that are not necessarily business or commercial premises to peform clothing work." Part 2 regulates protection of outworkers. Part 3 establishes Ethical Clothing Trades Council of Victoria, and provides for code of practice. Part 4 deals with compliance. Part 5 contains general provisions.
