Abstract/Citation: |
Amends Chapter 4 of the Belize Constitution. Specifies circumstances under which members of the House belonging to a political party may be disqualified from membership; regulates composition of the Cabinet; increases penalty for persons who sit or vote as members of the National Assembly when they are unqualified to sit or vote; establishes a separate Judicial and Legal Services Commission for Magistrates and other Judicial and Legal Officers; establishes a separate Security Services Commission for the Police Department and the Belize Defence Force; modifies composition of the Public Services Commission; transfers jurisdiction over Heads of Departments of Government to the Public Services Commission, and provides for serveral related matters. |
