| Abstract/Citation: | Prohibits the recruitment of seafarers without a valid medical certificate and attributes related responsibilities to the maritime company that employs them. Defines conditions for the issue and the recognition of medical examination certificates. Provides for inspections of ships and their crews, the prohibition of departures in the event of non compliance and administrative and penal sanctions. |
