| Abstract/Citation: | Aims at eliminating the production, utilisation and sale of products containing asbestos. Introduces a transitory period during which enterprises are allowed to continue the manufacture of products containing asbestos, provided they realise a restructuring programme. Makes provision for lump-sum compensation to employees working with asbestos for at least 5 years, pre-pensionary allowances and other related benefits. Also provides for special medical examinations for employees working in the production of commodities containing asbestos. |
