Abstract/Citation: Prohibits discrimination on the grounds of sex, family or marital status, religion, sexual orientation, race, age, disability, and membership in a traveller community on the part of employers, vocational training institutions, trade unions, employers' organizations, or employment agencies. Part III sets forth specific provisions regarding equality between men and women, including in matters related to equal remuneration and sexual harassment.

Also repeals the Employment Equality Act, 1977.
