Abstract/Citation: |
Requires employers to provide information and education regarding the transmission of HIV and to promote safe sex practices. Prohibits employers from requiring employees to undergo HIV testing or to disclose HIV status. No employer shall terminate or discriminate against an employee on the grounds of HIV status. Further provides that HIV status shall not affect eligibility for employee benefits or sickness and compassionate leave. In employment where HIV transmission is a risk, employers shall ensure precautions and supply protective equipment. |
