Abstract/Citation: Provides for the initial laws and public offices of Nunavut which shall duplicate the laws and public offices of the Northwest Territories (NWT). Also provides for the assignment to the government of Nunavut, the holding of the first general election for the Legislative Assembly, and mechanisms for determining the jurisdictions of Nunavut and NWT courts. Collective agreements between NWT and its public servants shall remain valid for Nunavut public employees.
