Abstract/Citation: |
Amends the Act Respecting the Improvement of the Welfare of Women Workers, including the Guarantee of Equal Opportunity and Treatment between Men and Women in Employment [Act No. 113 of 1972]. The amended text prohibits discrimination against female workers by employers in recruitment, assignment and promotion; sets forth the proper manner in which to address female workers; and establishes the Government's responsibility to provide assistance to employers taking positive measures to enhance female workers' abilities. Amends the Labour Standards Act [Act No. 49 of 1947] by abolishing the restrictions regarding overtime work and nightwork by female workers, and improving measures to protect family responsibilities and maternity. |
