| Abstract/Citation: | Provides for equality of treatment and payment of benefits for persons who acquired social security benefits in the territory of either party to the agreement. A person who works in the territory of one party shall be only subject to the law of that party. Provides for totalizing of periods for eligibility for benefits, exchange of information, and mutual assistance in social security matters. Proclaimed into effect in Canada by SI/97-134 of 10 December 1997. |
