Abstract/Citation: Introduces a national health insurance. Benefits cover sickness, pregnancy, maternity, measures preventing sickness as well as assessment of health condition. Benefits shall be granted to persons subject to insurance obligation and their relatives. Persons insured shall be of Polish citizenship and living whithin the territory of the Republic of Poland, or of foreign citizenship and living within the territory of the Republic of Poland, having registered as persons subject to insurance obligation and having paid their contributions. Establishes national health insurance offices, on the national and regional level, to perform tasks within the scope of the national health insurance, and defines their organization. Sets rules and procedures for allocating health insurance benefits and providing related services.
