Article I: Supremacy of the Constitution. Article II: Bill of Rights. Provides for the freedom of thought, speech, assembly and petition; prohibits slavery, unreasonable search and seizure, and cruel and unusual punishment, including the death penalty. S. 12 provides for equal protection and freedom from discrimination. Article III: The Council of Iroij. Article IV: The Legislature [Nitijela]. Article V: The Executive. Article VI: The Judiciary. Inter alia, establishes a Supreme Court, a High Court, and a Traditional Rights Court. Article VII: The Public Service. Article VIII: Finance. Article IX: Local Government. Article X: Traditional Rights. Article XI: Citizenship. Article XII: Amendment of the Constitution. Article XIII: Transitional. Existing law shall continue to be in force unless repealed. Article XIV: General.
