| Abstract/Citation: | The right of employment in the public service shall be open to citizens without distinction as to social status, racial or national origin, sex and religious affiliation. Provides for fundamental rights and limitations of public service employees who shall be entitled to, inter alia, enjoy the benefits of State social insurance and join trade unions, and may not take part in strikes. They shall be guaranteed retraining and further training, non-contributory State insurance against injury to life or health arising from performance of their duties, non-contributory medical care and annual paid leave of 30 calendar days. Also deals with conditions and cessation of employment. Available in English. |
