Second Region

Provides comprehensive legislation on matters relating to public health, including control of diseases, environmental sanitation, and regulation of drugs. Part IV regulates health standards, and requires, inter alia, persons hired for specified public sector positions (e.g. teachers, civil servants, members of the armed forces) to undergo a medical exam (Chapter 32). Part VII contains provisions governing the registration and licensing of health professionals and pharmacies.
