Part I sets forth academic and professional qualifications for being admitted as a legal practitioner. Section 8 establishes a Board for Legal Education with the purpose of regulating legal studies. Part II outlines privileges and offences by legal practitioners. Part III relates to legal practitioners' books of accounts. Disiplinary measures such as removal from the Roll, as well as definitions of unworthy or dishonourable conduct are outlined in Part IV. Part V establishes a Law Society of Namibia with the purpose of representing the interests of legal practitioners, including matters related to social security. A Legal Practitioners' Fidelity Fund is established in Part VI to reimburse persons who are victims of theft or fraud committed by legal practitioners.
