Second Region

Sets conditions for the granting of licenses by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to non-Omanis in order to participate in Omani companies. With certain exceptions, the foreign share of an Omani company shall be less than 49 per cent. The granting of licenses is also subject to environment, health, safety and other standards (s. 7).
