Abstract/Citation: Provides for the establishment, constitution, powers, duties and functions of the Social Security Commission, and for the payment of maternity leave benefits, sick leave benefits and death benefits to employees. Establishes for the latter purpose the Maternity Leave, Sick Leave and Death Benefit Fund. Also establishes the National Medical Benefit Fund and the National Pension Fund for the payment of medical benefits to employees and the payment of pension benefits to retired employees, and a Development Fund for the funding of training schemes for disadvantaged, unemployed persons.
