Abstract/Citation: Prohibits discriminatory practices based on race, colour, ancestry, place of origin, religion, marital status, family status, physical or mental disbility, sex, sexual orientation, or age in respect of public facilities, property, tenancy premises, employment advertisements, wages, employment, and unions and associations. Establishes the British Columbia Council of Human Rights to deal with complaints under the Act, and provides for single person boards of inquiry as an alternate complaints resolution procedure.
