The Act amends the Migration Act 1958 by adding after section 22: "Division 1A -- Power to obtain information and documents about illegal entrants" and also a subdivision concerning "offences relating to abuse of laws allowing spouses, etc. of Australian citizens or of permanent residents to become permanent residents."
